“An outstanding scientist, the first pediatrician of indigenous nationality, Nina Akhmetovna Barlybaeva, is the founder of a pediatric school in our country. 60 years of experience in practical healthcare and the educational process, this is where the training of pediatricians at the National Medical University begins. It is very symbolic that we hold our conferences within the walls of the Children’s City Clinical Hospital No. 2. This is one of the children’s institutions in Almaty, the most diversified, with a large number of pediatric beds. It is very significant that all pediatric profiles are represented in this clinic. Surgical methods of providing medical care are also carried out. It is very significant that all pediatric profiles are represented in this clinic. Surgical methods of providing medical care are also carried out. In this regard, this clinic is the most leading in providing assistance to children. It is very gratifying that our professors, scientists, academicians are present who have made a great contribution to pediatrics, to the development of this profile, to education, to training,” said the head of the Department of Childhood Diseases named after Barlybayeva of the Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University, chief freelance pediatrician of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gulnara Tashenova.

It should be noted that the conference was held to support the scientific interest of practical healthcare doctors in the health problems of the children’s population. Pediatricians, pediatric anesthesiologists and resuscitators, and pediatric cardiologists took part in it.

The main scientific directions of the conference covered

clinical aspects of childhood pathology; rare diseases in pediatric practice; socially significant diseases in pediatric practice; vaccine prevention in pediatrics; medical rehabilitation in pediatric practice; nutrition of a healthy and sick child; emergency conditions in pediatrics and pediatric surgery.

“The topic of the conference is very broad – it is all pediatrics, the most pressing issues of pediatrics: from the neonatal period to high surgical and pediatric technologies in pediatrics. A very large section will be devoted to immunoprophylaxis and vaccination.

Today, unfortunately, some childhood infections are beginning to become active due to the fact that during the pandemic, not all children received routine preventive vaccinations. But in general, when a small coverage decreases, this leads to the outbreak of epidemics of these infectious diseases, which are highly contagious

and quickly cover large sections of the child population,” the speaker noted.

As part of the conference, a master class was held with the participation of the director of the National Children’s Specialized Hospital “Okhmatdit” of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, pediatric resuscitator, professor Vladimir Zhovnir on the topic “Heart rhythm disorders in children – according to ECG.”

“Today all the pediatricians gathered and gave very interesting reports. I was lucky to be here and to be at the opening. I am very pleased to see young people and professors who discuss the problems that exist in pediatrics and think about the future, think not only about the traditions that were laid, but also about how to develop the service, how to improve it and make sure that children in Kazakhstan were healthy.

The main purpose of my visit is a “professor’s visit.” I give lecture courses for your residents, for your doctors, for students. The lectures are all devoted to new achievements in pediatrics, those that are available here in Ukraine, I try to share my experience, talk about what we have new, modern. I should note that

The level of training of Kazakhstani doctors, holding conferences and teaching students is very high. Indeed, having come here, I not only learn in my strengths, I also learn myself

I look at what Kazakhstan has, the opportunities that Kazakh doctors have. I look at the achievements that exist here and will implement them here,” the guest shared.

It is worth noting that this conference and the visiting program of the Ukrainian professor are of great practical importance for the development of pediatric services.

The conference was organized by Children’s City Clinical Hospital No. 2 of Almaty, the School of Pediatrics and the Department of Childhood Diseases named after Professor Barlybaeva of the Kazakh National Medical University named after Asfendiyarov.
