Clinical work

The Department of Pediatric Diseases with a neonatology course is located on the basis of the Scientific Center of Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery JSC, which is the main methodological, scientific, practical and advisory center for childhood in the republic and coordinates the work of the entire pediatric service in the regions.
The quantitative composition of the teaching staff is staffed according to the staffing table. Of the 19 teachers of the department, 9 have academic degrees: 3 – professors, MD (47.3%), 6 – Candidates of medical sciences (31.5%), Master of Medical Sciences-2 (10.5%). The Department of Pediatric Diseases with a course of Neonatology has the necessary staffing potential to perform clinical work: 5 doctors of Medical Sciences (Boranbayeva R.Z., Bozhbanbayeva N.S., Seisebayeva R.Zh., Sarbasova Zh.O., Tashenova G.T.), 8 candidates of medical Sciences (Baigazieva G.Zh., Azhakhmetova M.Z., Nurgalieva Zh.Zh., Karimkhanova A.T., Tulebayeva A.B., Bazarbayeva A.A., Marshalkina T.V., Abdilova G.K.), 6 masters in the direction of “Medicine” (Sagimova R.Sh., Manasbayeva A.E., Onalbayeva B.Zh., Shim V.R., Zhetpisbayeva N.K., Atantayeva Zh.G.).
All teachers of the department have basic education. The experience of scientific and pedagogical work of teaching staff: Over 10 years – 18 teaching staff (94.7%), up to 10 years-1 employee (5.3%). Thus, the teaching staff of the department has sufficient scientific and pedagogical work experience, which in turn affects the quality of teaching the subject. The teaching staff of the department, in organizing the therapeutic load, was guided by the legislative and regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan, current standards, international norms, regulatory documents and methodological materials on issues related to the field of activity of the Department (Order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 628 dated 11.09.2012 “On approval of the Regulations on clinical bases”).
The teaching staff of the department annually provide medical, diagnostic and advisory work on the following types: consultations, diagnostic studies, conducting consultations, clinical reviews, pathologic and anatomical conferences (as experts), patient rounds, expert evaluation of medical histories on the quality control system of medical care, participation in expert commissions on the analysis of fatal cases, a roadmap for monitoring infant and child mortality, round tables together with the public health Department of Almaty, charity events in polyclinics of Almaty GP No. 11, 17 and others.
Medical diagnostic and advisory work of the department’s staff was carried out at 9 basic clinics: in hospitals – NCPiDH, UK Aksai, CPiDH, 5GKB, Maternity hospital No. 5; in polyclinics of Almaty: GKP on PCV: GP No. 8, GP No. 11, GP No. 15, GP No. 17. Neonatologists, pediatricians, including a gastroenterologist, an endocrinologist in somatic departments performed the therapeutic load in the hospital. Medical and diagnostic consultations, medical examinations of patients were provided at the PHC level.
The staff of the department participated in the expert evaluation of case histories, in expert commissions on the analysis of fatal cases, and also conducted examinations of complaints in Almaty and Almaty region, Kostanay region, in total -10 examinations.
The department has a trainer for the UPM of the patronage service of the assoc.Karimkhanov A.T., continued work on conducting training on the UPM of pediatricians, GPS,SMR.
According to applications from the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, associate professors of the department Karimkhanova A.T., Azhakhmetova M.Z., Seisebayeva R.Zh. conducted Master classes and field cycles, as well as trained pediatricians, GPS and SMR, on remote cycles on the topics:
1. Health-saving technologies for children and adolescents.
2. “Universal-progressive model of patronage services for young children” (taking into account the new recommendations of UNICEF).

During the year, the plan was provided with advisory assistance at clinical bases, conducted online seminars, lectures, thematic conferences for district doctors and medical workers in medical institutions. Speeches and reports, seminars for GP doctors and pediatricians, as well as for parents held at the GCP at the PCV GP No. 11, GP No. 15, GP No. 8, GP No. 17 were informative and interesting.
Teaching staff of the department actively participated in the organization and holding of International scientific and practical conferences in celebration of the 90th anniversary of KazNMU named after S.D.Asfendiyarov, IX Congress of pediatric doctors of Kazakhstan NCPiDH
The results and achievements of the research work of the teaching staff of the department are actively being implemented in practical healthcare. There are acts of implementation of the software “Diagnosis and principles of therapy of the most common complications of some rare diseases in children (mucopolysaccharidosis, Gaucher disease, cystic fibrosis, epidermylosis bullosa)”, “Algorithm for diagnosing hemorrhagic diathesis in children”, “Diagnosis and treatment of hemophilia in children”, “Diagnosis and prevention of ear and eye diseases in newborns and young children”, “Current course, diagnosis and treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus in children”, “Principles of early diagnosis of geamtological and oncological diseases in children”, “Diagnosis and treatment of multisystem inflammatory syndrome associated with COVID-19 in children (guidelines)”, “Algorithm of diagnosis and management of pulmonary arterial hypertension associated with congenital left-right blood bypass in children”, Primary arterial hypertension in children and adolescents (clinic, diagnosis, treatment) (guidelines)” at the level of JSC “NCPiDH”, GCP on PCV “City polyclinic No. 11” Almaty, GCP on PCV “City polyclinic No. 5 ” Almaty, GKP on PCV “City polyclinic No. 8” Almaty.
