Sultanbaev Temirbolat Zhumasilovich

The Pediatric Outpatient Department was founded in 1987 based on the city children’s clinic No. 7 in Almaty. The first head of the department was Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sultanbaev Temirbolat Zhumasilovich, who made a great contribution to the organization and development of the department.

From 1989 to 2015, the department was headed by Edil Taitulevich Dadambaev, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, full member of the Academy of Natural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and doctor of the highest category.

Under the guidance of Professor Dadambaev E.T. 4 doctoral and more than 20 candidate dissertations were defended.

The department under the leadership of E.T. Dadambayev carried out research work to study the influence of environmentally unfavorable factors on the health, immune, and endocrine systems of children at risk, and the development of new diagnostic and treatment methods.

  • In connection with the restructuring of the departments by merging the departments of outpatient therapy, outpatient pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, gerontology and geriatrics, oncology, and surgery, the department of general medical practice No. 1 was transformed, the head of the department is Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Isaeva Bakhytsholpan Gabdulkhakimovna (2015-2016 academic year).

  • With the revival of the pediatric faculty, the Department of Outpatient Pediatrics was again separated from the Department of General Medical Practice No. 1 in September 2016. The department was headed by Bozhbanbaeva Nyshangul Seitbekovna – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor, member of the Association of Pediatricians of Kazakhstan, Director of the Educational Department of Pediatrics, accredited independent expert on specialty “Pediatrics”, pediatrician of the highest category (2017-2018 academic year).
  • In 2018-2019, the Department of Outpatient Pediatrics was again restructured for the Department of Childhood Diseases 1.2.3
