International cooperation

International cooperation at Asfendiyarov KazNMU and its structural units is aimed at solving key university objectives:

  1. Training highly qualified specialists, including for CIS and foreign countries
  2. Conducting fundamental and applied scientific research as a basis for high-quality education
  3. Integration of different levels of professional education

The Department of Neonatology has established international partnerships and joint projects with foreign universities and research centers, enabling experience exchange:

  • University of Health Sciences; Bakırköy Dr. Sadi Konuk Training and Research Hospital, Istanbul, Turkey
  • Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute

The department regularly organizes visiting professor programs, seminars, webinars, academic mobility activities, and participation in international conferences and congresses.

It also participates in scientific research and student research activities (SRW and SRWS), enhancing educational and clinical experience through international collaboration.

The department contributes to organizing international Neo Journal Club online sessions with medical universities of Kazakhstan, the Congress of Obstetricians-Gynecologists and Neonatologists of Kazakhstan and CIS countries (Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan).

Within the Erasmus+ ChildCA project, educational programs in pediatrics, pediatric surgery, and pediatric neuropsychiatry are being developed.
