Today, a significant event for the entire healthcare of the country took place at KazNMU named after S.D. Asfendiyarov. For the first time in the last 17 years, certified pediatricians were graduated. 132 specialists received internship diplomas, including graduates with diplomas with distinction, winners of international olympiads and competitions, and the best graduates of 2024.

Addressing the graduates, the rector of KazNMU Marat Edigeevich Shoranov noted that these were difficult 7 years of study, which showed the well-coordinated work of the teaching staff and the desire of the first students of the School of Pediatrics for knowledge, thanks to which the health care system will be replenished with new certified pediatricians. “This journey has not been easy, but thanks to your hard work, perseverance and dedication, we have reached this important milestone. This is a new chapter in the history of our university. Today you are making history!”, KazNMU Rector Marat Shoranov congratulated the first graduates.

History of the pediatric faculty of KazNMU named after. S.D. Asfendiyarov began in 1938, one of the first faculties in the Republic of Kazakhstan, which over 84 years has trained more than 8,000 specialists. Graduates of the Faculty of Pediatrics work in all areas of the healthcare system. To date, 1080 students are studying in the specialty “Pediatrics”.
