Prevailing number of teachers (80%) have the highest qualification medical category, the first – 10% and the second – 10%. According to the Regulations on the clinical work of the teaching staff of the departments of clinical disciplines of the NJSC “Kazakh National Medical University named after. S.D. Asfendiyarov”, Order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On approval of regulations on a clinical base, a clinic for organizing education in the field of healthcare, a university hospital, a residency base, an integrated academic medical center and the requirements for them” dated December 21, 2020 No. RK DSM-304 /2020 – performance at the department is more than 60%.
Employees of the Department of PCD provide medical and advisory assistance at clinical bases: at the Children’s City Clinical Hospital № 2, University Clinic «Aksai», at the Central Clinical Hospital, Sunkar Medical Center, where they participate in clinical discussions, consultations, conduct expert opinions on medical histories, and participate in KILI and pathological conferences. Study rooms are located in appropriate conditions in accordance with the taught clinical discipline/module, providing access to students during practical classes. The clinical bases of Children’s City Clinical Hospital № 2 and the Aksai University Clinic are provided with an agreement on joint activities of KazNMU and the EO.
In accordance with the plan of specialized work, the teaching staff of the department actively participates in the medical work of its clinical bases and are included as a member of the “Hospital Council” (Batyrkhanov Sh.K., Sagatbaeva N.A.), which allows them to influence the management decisions; A lot of work on conducting research and analyzing clinical cases as part of the “Formulary Commission” (Abdullaeva G.M.). Based on the results of clinical studies, 3 patents for inventions were received: “Method for predicting multiple sclerosis” by Sharapkhanova A.M. (10/16/2020); “A study conducted to study the medical and social characteristics and medical activity of families with a child with bronchi-pulmonary dysplasia.” Sayrankyzy S. (11/13/2021); “A method for diagnosing nutritional status disorders in premature infants from a high perinatal risk group” Abdullaeva G.M. (05/06/2022); which has been introduced into the clinical and diagnostic practice of medical institutions.
Employees of the PCD department conduct seminars: “Antipyretic drugs in pediatric practice”, “Nutritive support for premature babies”, “Breastfeeding: advice for mothers and colleagues” and master classes for practical city health care “Vitamin D and the development of cognitive abilities in children”, “ On the issue of clinical and radiological diagnosis of pneumonia in young children” the hold charity events “World Children’s Day” and “Open Day”.
