The Pediatric Outpatient Department was founded in 1987 based on the city children’s clinic No. 7 in Almaty. The first head of the department was Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sultanbaev Temirbolat Zhumasilovich, who made a great contribution to the organization and development of the department.

From 1989 to 2015, the department was headed by Edil Taitulevich Dadambaev, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, full member of the Academy of Natural Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and doctor of the highest category.

Under the guidance of Professor Dadambaev E.T. 4 doctoral and more than 20 candidate dissertations were defended.

Dadambaev E.T. is the author of more than 500 scientific works, 5 monographs, 15 study guides, 4 textbooks, 14 rationalization proposals, 15 methodological recommendations, 3 reference books, 2 dictionaries of medical terminology, and 6 inventions and patents.

The department under the leadership of E.T. Dadambayev carried out research work to study the influence of environmentally unfavorable factors on the health, immune, and endocrine systems of children at risk, and the development of new diagnostic and treatment methods.
