Clinical work

There are 8 core full-time faculty members at the department, including 1 professor, 2 candidates of medical sciences, 1 PhD, and 2 Masters of Medicine.

All full-time faculty members also work part-time in clinical settings and hold specialist certification in Neonatology.

Five physicians have the highest qualification category, and three hold the first category.

The faculty regularly reviews neonatal medical records, participates in medical councils and case discussions, and conducts educational lectures and seminars on current topics in neonatology for physicians and residents.

The department’s faculty is engaged in all areas of clinical activity and collaborates with associations, employers, and medical universities across Kazakhstan.

  • Clinical mentors: 11 (including 1 Master of Medicine; all mentors have extensive clinical experience and head clinical departments)

Thus, trainees have continuous access to clinical settings for practical training.
